Nature|Nurture: Lacewood, Birdseye Maple

Continuing with images from "Nature|Nurture" at Red Door Gallery in Richmond, VA, find below piece #5:

The color here is a bit off because I am having problems with Typepad. The darker wood is actually a bit more red than shown here.

I'll post installation images of the show as a concluding post that should contextualize the work in terms of concept and scale. As always, I welcome any feedback, comments or questions.
