Congrats JT on the Sondheim prize semi-finalist nomination! Keep it up JT.

Thanks so much John!

Hello J.T.,
"Wave" - very nice.
I think we were considering similar things when you did "Stem" and I did this .
Great work!
Mark

I like these a lot. I just did a short post with one image.

These are great Mr. K -- I especially enjoy the way the straight-line pieces work against the linear patterns. Are the patterns printed on the paper, or did you make them as well?

Mark - The similarities between the two are quite striking. Nice piece!

Barry - Thanks so much for the linkage!

Bill - I appreciate the kind words. The papers, made for scrapbookers, are sold printed as you see them. My only addition to the papers is the black (and sometimes white) ink drawing. There is a scrapbooking store near where I work that must sell 1000 varieties of this paper, all of it completely archival. I'm interested in a couple of things:

1) Making a great image, period.
2) The juxtaposition of my drawing and the mass produced papers made for artists, I guess, of a kind. I'm interested in exploiting what is already out there... much like my wood work. With these papers there's sort of a collage/appropriation thing going on.

Thanks all!
